Clear mount stamps

For those of you who have dabbled in different companies and have tried clear mount stamps, you know that sometimes it seems better to have a clear mount stamp set than other times. Stampin Up has worked over the years to figure out a way to sell clear mount stamps without compromising the quality of their product and have now found a way. Haiti

As all of you know…on January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope.

Valentine's Day

Hello everyone! I hope these weeks following Christmas has found you with a clean house, reorganized toy areas, and the majority of your Christmas items put away. I know I have yet to get my mistletoe down as well as our outside lights. But I know that the neighbors across from us will keep us merry all year long with their permanent Christmas lights (at least they only plug them in every December!).

As we transition into spring, I'm thinking that I want to hold a stamp camp in February with a Valentines theme. Now, for those of you who just read that last sentence and said to themselves, "What's a 'stamp camp'???" Here you go...

A stamp camp is an event held in a similar fashion to a scrapbooking class with the exception that we make several different items instead of or including scrapbook pages.

The stamp camp that I am currently putting together will include 10 Valentines Day cards, 10 decorated suckers, one treat box and one 12X12 Valentines Day scrapbook page. The cost will be $25 and you will be getting a stamp set to keep along with the items you make. If you have the Idea Book and Catalog, it's the 'You and Moi' stamp set on page 45. The class will be on Feb 6th (Sat) with sign up by Jan 27th.

Scrapbook Club

Hello everyone! Those of you who signed up for the Christmas scrapbooking class, I'll see you next weekend on the 16th at noon!

Now onto my next project... I would like to hold a club with the end product being a finished scrapbook. The example we will be using will be a scrapbook for a baby boy (not a coincidence that I'm pregnant with a boy!) but each person will choose their own paper, brads, etc so the scrapbook will be able to be made into a Family themed scrapbook or any other theme including baby girl. There will also be an option to omit the paper from the class. This is for anyone who purchased paper for a baby scrapbook or other themed scrapbook and wants to participate in the class but would like to use paper other than what I have available. Each class will give you new flare such as buttons, brads, chipboard, ink, etc so persons omitting the paper will still find something new in their stamping collections as well as on their pages. There will also be new techniques.

Above you will see the examples of the first few classes. The average price will be about $10-20 depending on whether you choose to buy paper as well as which flare we will be using for the class. The first class will be $30 with paper, $20 without.

The club will start in Feburary and the durration will be 5 months.

Let's scrap those Christmas pictures!

Well happy scrappers, it seems my vacation from blogging was a little too long... Let's get back to scrappin!

The next class will be Saturday, January 16th at noon. We will be making 4 pages total and the clost will be $15. Included with the price is half a simply scrappin kit, and all the extras like ribbon and rhinestone brads to make your pages. The theme is Christmas, and we'll be using 4X4 picturs as well as 4X6 for one set of pages and varriable sizes for the other. So print your pictures and sign up so we can seal these memories in our scrapbooks! Above you will see the 2 2-page layouts for the class as well as a fall page I recently did which will help you invision your pictures on the Christmas 2009 pages. We will be doing a collage techniche which will enable you to squeeze more pictures in on one page without it seeming too overwhelming.

Our technique this time will be blender pens. Blender pens are a gelatin-based felt-tip pen which enables you to blend chalks, inks, etc. They are great for 'coloring' images on white cardstock.

As always, kids are welcome, and for each friend you sign up, you will get $2 off your class. To ease your eyes from searching for the class info, here it is again:

Halloween Scrapbook Class

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a great holiday, drinking pleanty of apple cider and eating carmel apples and even more pumpkin pie!

This next class will featur Halloween pages and will include one package of Halloween DSP as well as two Halloween pages using the blender pen as our technique. The class is $15 and the date is Saturday, Nov. 21 with sign up due by Wed Nov. 11th (AKA Vetran's Day). I hope you all can join me in putting our Halloween pictures in the scrapbook so we can focus on other pictures when we're scrapping at home!

Happy scrappin to everyone and in keeping with the holidays, the next class will be a Thanksgiving class post Thanksgiving of course (we all need to print our pictures before we can scrap them!).

I'm back!

Hello all you happy stampers!
Well, I'm back from my pseudo-vacation. I say pseudo because it wasn't so much a vacation as it was a lazy daze where I could do nothing outside of work besides sit on the couch or sleep. As most of you know, Thomas and I are expecting our second Child on May 5th, so this is my only explanation for the tiredness. I'm still in my first trimester (for those of you who don't feel like doing the math I'm 9.5 weeks) but I've begun to get my spark back. I finally finished October's scrapbooking pages and if you look up, you'll see them. This months class will be on October 24th (Saturday) at noon. The class cost is $30, a bit higher this time, but you get a complete set of the Autumn Traditions DSP as well as the giant Medallion stamp. (In the picture of the stamp I put a 4X6 photo next to it to show size.) I hope to see you all there, we're doing a new technique called embossing. Embossing involves using versamark ink with embossin powder and the heating tool to solidify the image.
I hope your weekend is going well, since I've done nothing the past few weekends, I feel overly accomplished this one! Here is all the class info again:
